Prince Institute and its parent company, Stenograph, LLC, were two of the over 50 companies represented at the NCRA 2011 Annual Convention & Exposition held in Las Vegas, July 28th – 31st.

More than 1,800 court reporters, broadcast captioners, CART providers, Web casters, Internet information reporters, students, instructors, and scopists came from around the country to learn more about the field’s latest technology and opportunities.

Stenograph hosted Student Activity Day during the event, an on-site educational session for all students attending the convention, to offer advice on student success, an update on educational technology tools, and a free trial of PeV SpeedCoach.™

Prince Institute sponsored a special promotion for visitors to participate in an iPad survey for a chance to win an Amazon Kindle™ 3G and an accompanying carrying case. Jean Nerbo, a freelance reporter, was the winner, randomly chosen from over 80 participants in the survey, which evaluated the students’ knowledge of available court reporting practices and Prince Institute program offerings.

Prince Institute has been training court reporters since 1976, and continues to expand its professional studies programs to meet the needs of today’s marketplace.

Stenograph, LLC has been the leading supplier to the court reporting industry since 1938. It has a rich history built on talented individuals who have maintained the company as the innovative manufacturer of quality shorthand machines and pioneered computer-aided transcription (CAT) software. It also provides professional services education through Prince Institute.
