Admissions

Alabama court reporting studentAt Prince Institute, high school graduation or the completion of a General Education Development (GED) program is a requirement for admission. Prior to your enrollment, we believe it’s a good idea to meet you and discuss what your professional plans are, to see if Prince Institute is a good match. Usually, we try to have you meet with admissions representatives either through a face-to-face conversation and tour of the school, or if you have too little time, simply by having a conversation on the telephone.

The first part of the discussion will be with one of Prince Institute’s career planners, where they explain what types of people become successful court reporters, captioners or real-time reporters. The career planner may also explain more about a judicial reporting or captioning career, the qualities of successful professionals in the field, and the characteristics of an education from Prince Institute. The second part involves a financial planner who can figure out if you qualify for financial assistance, and if so, where you can find the best financial assistance for your education.

Finally, you will also have the chance to ask any specific questions you may have about the school and the legal industry. You can ask about training, how to specialize your program with extra training, what type of salary graduates can receive, what kind of companies and professionals court reporting graduates work with, and more. Don’t be shy! This interview will be our first chance to get to know you.

At Prince Institute, our students are much more to us than just a number. We are excited and dedicated in seeing you succeed and grow in your new career. You’ve already taken the first step by learning more about Prince Institute. Classes are starting soon, and we can’t wait to meet you!
