Credit transfers

Student exemptions for specific courses may be allowed by transfer of credits or by vocational competence evidenced by successful testing.

Acceptance of transfer credits will be at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Credit transfers will be accepted only from institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national or regional accrediting body of postsecondary institutions.

Students requesting transfer credit are required to provide official transcripts from their previously attended institutions and catalog course descriptions or course syllabi containing course descriptions in order that Prince Institute personnel may adequately assess the comparable nature of the completed coursework.

Students transferring in with machine shorthand knowledge generally are placed in the 100 word-a-minute dictation courses. This allows the student to become acclimated to the new environment and familiar with the expectations of the institution. Students may progress through the speedbuilding levels as rapidly as their skills allow. If the student has just completed theory and has had no experience in speedbuilding, he or she will be placed in RRT213, Realtime Reporting Theory III, the beginning speedbuilding course.

Transfer of credits from Prince Institute to other institutions is at the discretion of those institutions
